Material properties
Silicone rubber (VMQ) has an outstanding temperature range from -60 °C to +200 °C (short-term +230 °C) and excellent biocompatibility. It offers superb resistance to ozone, UV radiation, water, polar solvents, dilute acids and most foods. Available grades with FDA, USP Class VI, BfR, EC 1935/2004 and 3A certification for food and pharmaceutical industries. Its weak mechanical strength is compensated by static applications — not suitable for dynamic sealing functions with high friction loads.

Suitable for various industries
Silicone O-rings are used in the food industry (CIP/SIP systems, milking machines, packaging lines), medicine (inhalers, catheters, dialysis equipment), pharmaceuticals (fermenters, valves), cosmetics and high-temperature static sealing applications.
Application notes
Ideal for food industry, pharmaceuticals and static high-temperature seals. Avoid dynamic applications with mineral oils — weak mechanical strength. For heavy steam prefer peroxide-cured EPDM.
